I'm a senior reporter at the Center for Investigative Reporting, where I cover child welfare, addiction, and health. I write primarily for Mother Jones, and my work is sometimes featured on the podcast Reveal.
My reporting has spurred new laws and congressional inquiries, and earned recognition from the National Magazine Awards, the RFK Journalism Awards, the Livingston Awards for Young Journalists, and the Loeb Awards. My stories have appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, on NPR and PBS NewsHour, and elsewhere. I was a 2022 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
When I'm not working, I'm a fan of running, backpacking, and making (i.e. eating) baked goods.
If you have a tip or a story to share, I'd love to hear from you.
